The Palm Collective Unveils Obscura Community: A Platform for Empowering Artists in the Web3 Ecosystem
The Palm Collective, a pioneering Web3 artists collective that enables creators, brands, and fans to self-organize, is pleased to announce the launch of its new platform: Obscura Community. This innovative digital space is dedicated to empowering artists in the Web3 ecosystem and fostering a more inclusive society through art.
Celebrating Womxn’s Month: A Call for Artistic Submissions to the Egalitarian Utopia Initiative
In honor of Womxn’s month, Obscura Community extends an exclusive invitation to artists and designers—regardless of gender identity—to participate in the “Call x Digital Art: Egalitarian Utopia” initiative. The aim is to demonstrate unique visions of an egalitarian utopia, helping shape a more inclusive and harmonious society through the powerful medium of art.
Opportunities for Artistic Recognition and Rewards
The Call x Digital Art: Egalitarian Utopia contest is open to all artists. The Palm Foundation will grant $1,000 to the two most impressive contributions and display their artworks in a prestigious window display on Broadway Avenue in New York City. The top 15-20 curated artists by the curatorial committee will also be invited to showcase their submissions at a wall-to-ceiling display during Lume Studios NYC’s Palm Collective NFTNYC event. Runners up will receive Palm Collective Proofs.
Participation Requirements and Submission Details
To enter the contest, creators must connect a crypto wallet, create a Palm ID, mint their artwork as an NFT on the Palm Network (tutorial here), and submit it here before the March 22 deadline. Only one submission per artist is allowed, and artwork must be original, not previously minted anywhere else, and minted on the Palm Network.
Terms and Conditions for Call x Digital Art: Egalitarian Utopia
Entrants must adhere to the Palm Collective’s terms and conditions and be prepared to provide a high-definition version of their artwork if selected for projection. The contest is open to all digital mediums, including photo, video, music, 3D, and ai (submissions using ai must be disclosed). The submissions period lasts from March 11 to 4 p.m. EST on March 22, followed by the curation period (March 23-25) and collective voting (March 26-28). The winning artworks will be publicly displayed at LUME Studios NYC for the Egalitarian Utopia Closing Party on April 1 from 7 p.m. to 12 a.m.
